You have found my corner of the internet dedicated to championing visiting Tokyo and specifically the city ward Sumida-Ku. After visiting Japan in 2025 and staying in Sumida with my family, I was surprised to find that it's somewhat overlooked as a destination.

It provides great access to much of Tokyo's famous sites and importantly also gives you a slice of residential life in Japan's capital city. So, in my own small way, this is me telling the world why they should consider staying in Sumida when they visit Tokyo, Japan!
